An interview with 4x mundial champion Rubens “Cobrinha” Charles was taken from his very own facebook page . All the questions were submitted by fans and answered by Cobrinha. Julio was born in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Julio's first sport was surfing and as a surfer, he was twice Rio de Janeiro State Champion and 3 times Brazilian College Champion (Faculdade Candido Mendes - 1982, 1983 and 1984), Saquarema Ala Moana Champion (1978), Pier Ipanema Champion (1975), and member of the Company Surf Competition Team and Brazilian Nuts Surf Competition Team.

Eduardo 'Dudu' Barros was born in Brazil in 1980. At the age of 11 Dudu began studying Gracie Jiu-Jitsu under Carlson Gracie Sr. He excelled and quickly became a top student. Dudu competed in several regional and national competitions in Brazil and consistently placed first. Later Dudu competed in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Nationals, where he was a 4 time winner. Eduardo, later had the opportunity to study under the legendary instructor Andre Pederneiras (a 5th Degree Black Belt under Carlson Gracie Sr.). In 1997 Dudu relocated to the United States and created the Dudu Barros Jiu Jitsu Academy. Dudu is also an alumni of Kent State Uniiversity where he majored in Business Administration and earned an MBA from The University of Phoenix. Dudu is a current member of the Nova Uniao Jiu-Jitsu Team and is a BJJ Black Belt.

Beginning his journey in the martial arts at the age of 11, by 17 Steve had earned his first black belt in Tae Kwon Do. After moving to Florida, he started training Judo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) with Bill Murphy and Marcio Simas and recieved the purple belt under the Gracie Barra system. Bill stepped down and 2nd Degree Royce Gracie Black Belt, Charles dos Anjos, took over as head instructor of the Florida school. Soon after, Steve recived the brown and black belts under Master Royce Gracie.
