Four time Pan American gold medalist Mark Staniszewski made history this year at the 2009 Pan American Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships. He became the first American in history to win Pan American gold medals in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo. Mark is a Gracie Jiu Jitsu practioner under UFC veteran and local celebrity Matt Serra. Mark's academy is located in Massapequa Long Island and it is called the Long Island Martial Arts Academy and you can visit the website and find out more about Mark, his school, and Team Combat.
